ADVANCED PLACEMENT AND HONORS COURSES

Pomona Catholic High School offers a rigorous college preparatory program that includes Advanced Placement and honors courses within each department. Students who request AP or honors classes must meet departmental requirements in order to take the course. All students are required to take the AP exam in May in order to receive the extra honors point on their GPA. Due to the size of the school, some AP and honors courses do not fit in all students’ schedules. Counselors work with students to prioritize course schedules according to student strengths and interest. Pomona Catholic is an AP Capstone school. Implementation began fall of 2017 with students committing to the two year program beginning with AP Seminar and the cohort moving into AP Research fall of 2018. We are currently working with our second cohort in AP Research.
